The fourth trimester is tough. No one really prepares you for it. When my kiddo was little, as a single mom, some days it was just him and me all the time. It can be isolating and lonely.
One thing that helped me was a postpartum yoga class. My son was just a few weeks old, and I thought my friend was crazy for dragging me there. But let me tell you, it was healing. It was safety. It was calm. When I walked in, I felt like, "Oh, okay, I can do this."
So, when I heard about this new FREE pop-up class with a fellow doula and super chill mama Erin Pasquet, I had to shout from the rooftops to let everyone know. Postpartum people, run to bask in the glow (ERM sweat) with other new parents, stretch, bend, and kiss your baby. And if they happen to be a little fussy, somehow that magic flowing from Erin will help to soothe them.

"My kid has a head of hair. I mean, it's like my dream hair – thick, silky, and long. It’s been this way since he was pretty little. When it came time to get him a haircut, I did what most people do and went to a kids' place (which is now closed). I wanted to cry – they didn't know how to cut it. I know it’s just hair, but well, it didn't need to look like a bowl was put on his head.
Cut to a few years later, and I'm still trying to find someone who knows how to give my kiddo a cool haircut – cutting into the waves, not straight across (eek).
